Living Streets has a network of local branches across the UK, helping to campaign for better streets and public spaces at a local level.

Branch activity includes:

• Lobbying local councillors to improve pavements
• Writing letters to the local paper, or to MPs
• Undertaking street audits, and publicising the results
• Responding to policy consultations

Existing local groups - such as residents associations, or pensioner and disability groups - can also affiliate to Living Streets for just £15 per year.

And if there isn't a local group in your area, there are still opportunities to campaign for better streets for pedestrians.
