Community Street Audit underway in Harlesden

Living Streets Audits evaluate the quality of streets and public spaces from the viewpoint of the people who use them rather than those who manage them. By bringing together local people's knowledge of their own neighbourhoods with the expertise of Living Streets, we identify the issues and challenges and generate options and ideas for improvement.
solutions.

The Audits involve Living Streets facilitators taking people out to look at how places work for people on foot. Instead of using tick boxes and lists of questions, we use the tools of observation and conversation to encourage a fluid, natural response to the street environment.

This approach has been successfully applied to different areas, from neighbourhood housing estates, schools and shopping parades, city and town centres, universities and stations.

Living Streets Audit reports increase the range of funding options available by including a broad range of stakeholders and making recommendations for improvements which can be funded from different sources.

Living Streets Walkability and Community Street Audits have supported successful bids to fund improvements in the public realm, and build positive, co-operative dialogue between residents and councils.

But don't just take our word for it, read testimonials from our clients.
