Padestrians need crossings!

Sign the Green Man Campaign petition.
All across London people on foot can't cross the road safely because traffic lights at junctions don't have green men crossings, like the one above.

Where they are missing there is often never a break in traffic. Crossing the road is dangerous and stressful. Walking becomes an unpleasant choice. We believe it is time to give people on foot greater priority. It's time for pedestrians to fight back.

Transport for London, who are responsible for signals, can't tell us how many green men are missing at junctions with traffic lights. We think the number runs into thousands.

This campaign will allow communities to voice their discontent collectively. Based on this, London Living Streets will press for change across the whole of London.

The simplest way to pledge your support is by signing the petition, which will be presented by a number of London Assembly Members to the Mayor in the autumn.

Before the petition is presented London Living Streets Green Man would like to visit a protest in every London borough. Find out here if there has been one in your borough.
